The Habit app allows users to set reminders that help them develop long-term habits. It currently has an avergae rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars.

Are you the type of person that needs motivation to complete daily tasks you overlook? If so, Habit is the right app for you. It is well designed, straightforward, user friendly and overall perfect for college students.

Habit is a free productivity app that is compatible with both Android and IOS. The app was designed to make habit-tracking fun, create positive habits and help you reach your goals. You can use the app to track things such as working out, drinking water, making your bed, studying, money managing, brushing your teeth twice a day or even reducing the amount of time that you spend on social media.

To create a habit, you simply tap the plus button at the upper right-hand corner of the screen. You can then name your habit, choose how often it reminds you, add notifications for motivation and set a time for a reminder. Once you have created a habit, you can see its strength over the course of you tracking it.

Each time you check off a day that you have completed the habit, the percentage of your progress increases. If you miss a day or forget to log a habit, the percentage will decrease and slow down your progress. To reach 100%, you have to complete 91 check offs.

The app also offers premium, which you can upgrade to for a one time payment of either $4.99, $6.99 or $14.99 (which I do not recommend because there is not much of a difference between free and premium). With premium, you can change the color of your habit, which you can also do without premium by tapping plus until the habit is the color of your liking.

Overall, I would rate this app a solid 4.5 out of 5. Although I absolutely love this app, there is quite a bit of room for improvement. While I like that the app is simple and minimalistic, I think that there should be some sort of positive reinforcement system for each time a habit reaches 100%.

For instance, if you tracked making your bed, maybe you could get a discount on bed linen; or if you tracked drinking water, you could get a free water bottle. There should also be more game-like features such as sharing habits with friends; graphics like confetti when a habit has been completed and coins to purchase more colors. Other than that, I highly recommend that people download this app because of its helpfulness and usability.
