Summer blockbusters feature Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill

Summer break is about to begin in a couple of weeks, and that means one thing: big blockbuster movies. There are so many movies to watch this summer, including sequels to “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “X-Men,” but there are three movies that you must see:

“Godzilla”

After the disastrous Americanized version of “Godzilla” flopped in the late ’90s, Hollywood has decided to reattempt another American “Godzilla” movie this year. Joining the giant lizard is Bryan Cranston.

Just like every other modern blockbuster, not much is known about “Godzilla” other than it will put the monster in the United States.

Now, the biggest question of the movie is who will be the one who knocks — Godzilla or Cranston? Find out May 16.

“22 Jump Street”

While the name may be misleading, “22 Jump Street” is the sequel to the hilarious “21 Jump Street” that was released two years ago. This movie will follow Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as they try to bring down a drug ring at a college.

It seems like “22 Jump Street” will probably follow a similar formula to the first film, but most of the production team has stayed the same so expect a riot with this movie. “22 Jump Street” will be released June 13.

“Guardians of the Galaxy”

Marvel’s last movie before “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” will be their biggest gamble yet.

“Guardians of the Galaxy” is about a team of heroes who have to fight a huge cosmic foe. Not very much is known about this film, but based off the trailers it looks like it will be a big, fun summer blockbuster. James Gunn is the director; he is widely known for his horror flick “Slither.”

The movie has a huge ensemble cast consisting of Chris Pratt (Star Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Vin Diesel (Groot), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon) and many more great actors. This is the must see movie of the summer; catch it in theaters Aug. 1.
