The St. Edward’s University construction crew has worked diligently to raise the new construction building. However, credit must also be given to the entire St. Edward’s community in the effort to make this building possible.

“It was a comprehensive effort that included implementing strategies dating back many years,” Joe DeMedeiros, Associate Vice President for Development, said. “The process involved the entire St. Edward’s community 

including trustees, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, foundations, 

corporations, and students. Each group contributed to our overall success.”

To make this possible, the university had to raise $5 million to meet the conditions of the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation college grant. This grant gave $1 million to St. Edward’s for meeting this quota within 12 months.

The building will house computer science, mathematics, and physics departments.
