Student visits capital to discuss Keystone XL pipeline

Senior Jarymar Arana was invited to attend the 100 Actions for 10 Percent Clean Energy event in Washington D.C. in October, where she met with the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and a young American liaison for President Barack Obama.

Arana said she was able to attend the event in Washington D.C. because of her membership with the Sierra Student Coalition (SSC), and also because she was representing activists in Texas. Arana joined the SSC this past summer.
