Club Cycling

President of the St. Edward’s University Cycling Team Jenna Emerick traveled to Angelfire, N.M. on Oct. 18 through Oct. 20 to compete in the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals.

Emerick placed 24th of 26 in cross country races and 20th of 25 in the short-track.

Emerick raced against other D-II cyclists from across the country, many of whom are professionally sponsored  and are used to racing on mountainous terrain in higher elevations than Texas. Emerick said she is pleased with her results given the circumstances. The club will race at Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda, Texas Oct. 26 and 27.

Teammate Hannah Clark competed in the Collegiate Track National Championships Sept. 20-22 in Frisco, Texas.
