Steve Jobs leaves behind technological legacy

The world lost a great American innovator last week when Steve Jobs, co-founder and CEO of Apple Inc., passed away on Oct. 5 due to complications from pancreatic cancer.

Under Jobs, Apple released its most successful products: the iPhone, the iPod, and the iPad. But more importantly than that, he revolutionized the way people used personal computers.

 Before Macintosh, most computers were simply text-based programs. Apple brought graphics and interest to home computers, changing the tech game completely.

The news of Jobs’ death spread quickly as social media sites were flooded with condolences, and Apple.com’s homepage was changed from the usual format to a memoriam for Jobs.
