Celebrities now adopt alcohol

Americans love celebrities, correct? And what do celebrities love more than putting their names on things and selling them for lots of money? Probably not much! Look at Justin Bieber: the kid has got most of the basic celebrity-endorsed products like T-shirts, hats, nail polish, action figures, jogging shorts, and even his own uni-sex fragrance. However, there is one product he can’t promote and legally can’t touch until he reaches the age of 21. That’s right, we’re going to have to wait a couple years before Smirnoff Ice introduces a Bieber-themed premium malt beverage, but there are still plenty of other celebritiy-inspired alcohols for us to enjoy now.

Kid Rock for Jim Beam’s Red Stag

Nothing goes with good old-fashioned country-western-southern-rap-metal like a nice glass of cherry- infused bourbon. Detroit’s very own Kid Rock, singer of classics like “Bawitdaba” and “Cowboy,” joined forces last year with the 215-year-old Jim Beam Company to introduce and promote the company’s new “Red Stag” brand of Kentucky bourbon. The company put Rock on some limited edition “Red Stag” boxes and sponsored Rock’s 2009 summer concert tour.

Ludacris’ Conjure Cognac

Here we have another great pairing: Dirty southern hip-hop for the A.T.L. and fine and delicate Norwegian cognac. Ludacris, who claims to be a long time fan of expensive and aged Cognac, got together with Birkedal Hartmann to create this elegant masterpiece.

To promote the liquor Ludacris is doing whatever he can to get the name out there. Earlier this year he released a Conjure-themed mix tape and has been showing off the bottles in music videos as much as possible. Conjure still hasn’t been released nationwide, but it is slowly being introduced to markets across the nation. If all goes according to plan, it should be available soon at liquor stores near you.

Danny DeVito’s Premium Limoncello

Actor/director/producer Danny DeVito is also trying to make it in the world of fine liquor.

DeVito has lent his name to the brilliantly titled “Danny DeVito’s Premium Limoncello.” The drink itself is a smooth Italian limoncello made from all- natural ingredients. The bottles even feature scratch and sniff labels that let customers take a whiff at what they’ll soon be drinking. DeVito and his limoncello made a name for themselves back in 2006 when DeVito made a drunken appearance on morning talk show “The View.” DeVito bashed then- President George W. Bush and admitted to having six or seven too many drinks with George Clooney the previous night.

All of these celebrity liqours should be able to tide you over at least until Justin Bieber’s brand of Appletinis hits the market.
