As the sun set on Austin City Limits Music Festival, the lights on the stage came on, the crowd waited in hushed anticipation and Vampire Weekend began to play.

Hailing from Brooklyn, the band made up of four Columbia graduates never failed to leave their audience in complete musical awe and appreciation.

Their set included hits and favorites from their self-titled album and their newest album, “Contra.”

The band seemed very happy to be in Austin, and fans felt equally as giddy to hear them play.

The crowd was further excited as giant red balloons were being buffeted around the crowd.
