BREAKING: SGA elections tie, voting open through Tuesday

Voting for student government elections continues into Tuesday, as the Damian-Martinez-Theis and Ariola-Rios campaigns faced a tie of 405 votes Friday afternoon.

Each of the senator candidates were elected, as nine students ran for 12 seats. The new senators are: Celine Cottenoir, Marcelle Chamoun-Farah, Athina Elizabeth Castanon, Nicole Davis, Samuel Drew, Bailey Galicia, Cristobal Garcia-Quinoz, Taylor Huey and Jacob Zertuche.

A new voting record was set yet again, with 810 votes compared to last year’s 758.
