Fresa’s Chicken al Carbon, the walk-up and drive-thru off North Lamar, is a restaurant no one would ever consider fast food.

Formerly a drive-thru photo finishing company, Fresa’s was established in 2012 and is currently run by Margaret Vera, Tracy Overath, Laura Sawicki and Rene Ortiz.

Located just before 10th Street, the restaurant offers an all-day menu for its customers and includes high-quality food with a convenient fast-food delivery method.

From breakfast tacos to crispy Brussels sprouts and fresh sandwiches, Fresa’s is a restaurant that has it all.

Its breakfast tacos are made with pasture-raised organic eggs and its family-style chicken dinners are prepared with the highest quality pasture-raised birds.

Not only does Fresa’s serve that classic breakfast taco most of us crave in the morning, Fresa’s also offers a variety of salad choices and sides including oak-roasted cauliflower, guacamole and queso with chips.

The wood-grilled chicken meals come in whole, half, or quarters portions plus sides and offer a healthier, fresher alternative to other fast-food joints.

Finally, the classic and milanesa torta makes for the most satisfying lunch or dinner.

One of Fresa’s most unique offerings includes their freshly made and in-house kits.

One can skip the store and pick up a margarita or michelada kit, which include all the lime wedges, juices, seasoned salt rimmers and spices needed to make eight to ten drinks. All you need is the liquor; Fresa’s takes care of the rest for less than ten bucks.

Convenient kits aren’t the only drinks they have to offer.

Fresa’s also has a selection of to-go six-pack beers, wine by the bottle, agua frescas that come in four different flavors, teas and of course, Mexican Coke.

Fresa’s Chicken Al Carbon is one of the fanciest fast food restaurants every Austin foodie needs to give a try.
