“I think more than ever today, there is a need for that sort of objective, nonpartisan dialogue, so that we're focusing on what makes sense from a common sense perspective. Economically, socially, what makes sense, as opposed to what suits someone's political agenda. I really valued the opportunity to be part of a conversation that was constructive, that was trying to lead us toward a better place in terms of public policy. It was not just constructive, it was also inclusive because we included authors from both sides of the political spectrum and everywhere in between. We brought together academics and politicians and public policy wonks to have this conversation in that space, and that's a really beautiful thing. That's become harder and harder to do in our world today but I think there's still an important space for that. There's an important need for that.”
