Here’s what happened at the Student Government Association’s formal senate meeting on Oct. 25, 2023.

 

Bills Passed

– Senate Resolution 06 “Umbrella Share Program”: To instate an umbrella share program on campus, with plans to pilot the program in the Ragsdale Center. Authored and presented by Senator Juan Ortega. Sponsored by Senator Olivia Prior (approved for first passage).

 

Financials

– A funding request from Women in STEM for a Thanksgiving event on Nov. 14 (approved).

– A funding request from the American Society for Microbiology for a stained bacteria art-making event on Nov. 10 (approved).

– A funding request from the Computer Science Club for a general meeting on Nov. 2 (approved).

 

The meeting concluded with a final roll call at 7:17 p.m.
