Due to the recent grand jury decisions surrounding the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo. and Eric Garner in New York City, St. Edward’s University students organized a “die in” on the university seal. 

The event had black students, as requested by the event organizers, “die” on the seal from 11:50 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Dec. 5. Other students were encouraged to attend the event and bring posters and signs.
