To celebrate Valentine’s Day, student organization Command G hosted “Cupid’s Corner” on Feb. 14 at Ragsdale Lawn. Command G is a group made by graphic design students on campus. They host events that support creativity, collaboration and community for the students of the university interested in visual arts.

The goal of the event is to raise funds to buy art materials such as magazines and color cardboards for the multiple workshops that the organization hosts. (Sofia Palacios / Hilltop Views)
Many of the festive cards displayed at the stand are designed by Command G members Liam Molina, Scarlet Houser and Christian Hartman. To prepare for the event, the students in the organization board created multiple Valentine’s Day card designs to sell on campus. “We each designed a card and then we printed them, so there are five card designs,” junior Jade Perea said. “We bought flowers from Trader Joe’s and just packaged them really cute.” (Sofia Palacios / Hilltop Views)

The president of the organization shared the experience of hosting events on campus. “It’s really fun to experiment with new things so we can teach other students,” Perea said.
